A Psalm of Gratitude for Salvation

O Merciful One, I praise You!
Great Compassionate One, I worship You!
My Mender & Deliverer, I thank You for who You are.
For you regarded not my sins. You looked beyond all my transgressions, far beyond my wickedness and offenses with eyes full of mercy.
You gathered them up as linens soak up a great spill…
Leaving no stain, no remnant, no residue of the darkness I once slipped into.
From the days of my youth, i walked in darkness, blinded to Your love for me, my head turned away from the radiance of Your face, gazing at the fleeting pleasures before me. I was ignorant of my desperate need for You; Tangled in the lie that I could forge my own path to Heaven. Dancing in demonic deception, and twirling straight to the gates of Hell.
But just as You were in the Beginning, You were there in mine.
Before I was born You knew me. You chose me. You called me…though I rejected You for a while.
You walked with me, though I wandered aimlessly. You covered me though I was ungrateful. Your grace kept me though I gave You no glory.
Wonderful Father, You hovered over me as Your Spirit did the earth when it was full of darkness and void. (Genesis 1:2)
You saw that I too was as the earth once was, so you entered my world and said “Let there be light.”
You saved me. You rescued me. You reached into the depths of my shadowy, aching heart and made Your home in me.
And for the first time I felt alive. For the first time I wasn’t blind. For the first time I understood what it meant for your Son to die and rise again for me.
Lord, I thank You that You suffered long for me, because Your heart longed for me.
My Sweet Yeshua, Holy is Your name, precious is Your blood and forever You will reign!
O God, I bless you! My soul rejoices in Your salvation! My heart swims in an ocean of gratitude for your sacrifice! My eyes cling to Your every move, because where ever You go I want to follow You!
Lord, keep me; Lead me not to people, places, and things that might compete with Your throne on my heart.
Lord, keep me; Now and forever. On earth and in Eternity. For the only reason I live is You—You’re my everything.
Lord, keep me; From the schemes of Satan and the lying seduction of sin, for I desire to be holy and blameless before You in Christ Jesus.
Lord, please keep me; Burning for you. In desperate pursuit of You. In awestruck love with You. For I am Yours completely and totally. Let me not grow faint in this race but help me to run all the way into eternal glory with You, in Jesus name.
